FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — A Freeport man with a prior felony conviction was arrested Tuesday after police allegedly found two shotguns at his residence.

Freeport Police said officers, along with deputies from the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a search of a home in the 500 block of Cedar Creek Road and recovered the weapons and ammunition.

Ryan Bramer, 45, was charged with Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.

It is illegal for persons convicted of a felony to own or possess firearms.

Bramer was transported to the Stephenson County Jail.
