New Hampshire woman stabbed to death in her bedroom on Mother's Day 2009; case remains unsolved
WOLFEBORO, N.H. — The killing of a Wolfeboro woman on Mother's Day in 2009 remains unsolved. Stacey Burns, 41, was found stabbed to death in her home at 109 North Main St. The school nurse and mother of five was stabbed multiple times while two of her children and some of their friends slept in nearby rooms.
GHS students attended international career development conference
GILFORD — Gilford DECA members competed at the organization’s highest level — DECA’s annual International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California on April 27-30. During the school year, approximately 100,000 of DECA’s 254,000 high school student members participate in the organization’s competitive events program, allowing them to compete for local, regional and association titles. The competitions are designed to simulate real-life business scenarios and test students’ academic understanding and skills development. DIXMONT, Maine — An 82-year-old man who was reported missing from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, was located in Dixmont with the assistance of Maine State Police. Shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Maine State Police got a missing person notification from Wolfeboro police saying the man had not returned home after leaving for a fishing trip in Hampton, New Hampshire, around 4 p.m., Maine State Police said in a social media post.
