A group of McLean residents filed a lawsuit to stop the expansion of the toll lanes on the Capital Beltway in Virginia. Although the project to add two-and-a-half miles of express lanes from the Dulles Toll Road in Tysons past the George Washington Parkway is in its second year of construction, the Northern Virginia Citizens Association wants it stopped and has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Fairfax Now first reported the lawsuit.

(Washington, DC) — The DC medical examiner’s office has identified the body of the woman found in a trash can in Southeast. 59 year old Yvette Spencer had been missing since last week. A worker cleaning up behind a Randle Highlands apartment building on 27th Street made the shocking discovery after opening the can Monday afternoon. The property manager said the receptacle had been left there and all of the building’s residents were accounted for. No word yet on how the woman may have died.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman’s body was found in a trash container in Southeast, D.C., Monday afternoon. Just before 1:30 pm, the Washington D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the 1600 block of 27th Street after a groundskeeper found the woman’s body. 59-year-old Yvette Spencer from D.C. was identified as the victim. The area with the trash container was taped off. Police have not released any information on the victim’s cause of death. This case is actively under investigation.
