The Office of the Attorney General released the body-worn camera video from the fatal police shooting that occurred on March 4 in Frederick.
Police in Frederick, Maryland, fatally shot a knife-wielding man after he ignored officers’ commands to drop the weapon, according to the city’s police chief and the office of the state attorney general.
In the video, you can see the suspect come out of a room and charge toward officers as the officers shout multiple times to "drop the knife." Several shots are then fired at the man until he is on the ground.
Officials previously identified the man officers shot as 44-year-old Joseph Sherrill of Frederick, Maryland.
The release of the body-worn camera footage in this incident was delayed to allow investigators to conduct witness interviews.
