WELL, TODAY MARKS TWO YEARS SINCE THE DISAPPEARANCE OF FRANKLIN RESIDENT SANDRA ECKERD. THE THEN SEVEN YEAR OLD WAS LAST SEEN AT HER HOME THE NIGHT OF MARCH 26TH, 2021. HER HUSBAND SAYS SHE LEFT IN A 2005 GRAY DODGE STRATUS. A MONTH LATER, FRANKLIN POLICE EXECUTED SEARCH WARRANTS AT THE EDWARDS HOME AND THEN LAST JUNE, ANOTHER SEARCH WARRANT AT A MAN’S HOME IN WAUKESHA AS THEY SAID, THEY WERE NOW HANDLING IT AS A HOMICIDE CASE AND HAD TWO PERSONS OF INTEREST. DETECTIVES CONFIRM THE WARRANT WAS FOR A FIRST DEGREE INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION. AT THE TIME, POLICE SAY THEY TOOK A MAN INTO CUSTOD

It's been two years since the disappearance of Franklin resident Sandra Eckert. The then-70-year-old was last seen at her home the night of March 26, 2021. Her husband said she left in a 2005 gray Dodge Stratus. Franklin police said that car was last seen driving later that same night heading southbound on Crowbar Drive in Muskego, nearly eight miles from her home.The car has never been found. Two search warrants were unsealed in July 2022. Franklin police confirmed the search warrants were for a homicide investigation, and they had at least two people of interest, although no one has ever been charged with the crime. Detectives searched those properties in April 2021, nearly one month after Sandra Eckert was last seen.In June 2022 Franklin police told WISN 12 News they conducted another search at a man's home in Waukesha.
