FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two teenagers were hospitalized after being struck by a car at Cool Springs Boulevard and Carronbridge Way just before 5 p.m. on Thursday, according to the Franklin Police Department.

Police say three teenagers activated the pedestrian lights and were in the crosswalk, near the Carronbridge community, headed towards the Enclave neighborhood. Two of the teens were then hit by a car traveling west on Cool Springs Blvd.

The driver who struck them immediately stopped to render aid, police said.

The victims, a 14-year-old from Brentwood and a 15-year-old from Franklin were transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where police say they’re in stable condition.

“Franklin Police are investigating, and no charges have been filed. Officers say that their preliminary findings do not indicate alcohol or drugs, and that this appears to have been a truly tragic accident,” police said.
