Whole Foods opening new storefront in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood
Northwest Side residents in Chicago have something to be excited about— Logan Square is finally getting a Whole Foods market. The popular organic grocery chain confirmed to WGN Chicago that it has signed a lease at 2280 North Milwaukee Avenue, formerly the site of a Family Dollar store. Unlike other Chicago locations, the new Whole Foods will follow the chain’s “Daily Shop” format, which features a smaller layout. The chain first introduced its Daily Shop concepts in New York City in 2024. Shoppers can expect fresh produce, grab-and-go items, and other daily essentials. The new market will fill an existing gap in Logan Square, a community with historically limited grocery store options compared to North East Side neighborhoods like Lakeview and Lincoln Park. Additional Whole Foods locations are also in the works elsewhere in Chicago, with a new outpost planned for Lakeview East. Whole Foods has not released an official opening date for the Logan Square store. Stay tuned for future updates!
