Frankfort’s Aidan Hudspith Heading To State Competition

Two Frankfort track athletes competed at the Lafayette Jeff Regional. Aidan Hudspith hit the state standard of 14’4″ in the Pole Vault to finish 3rd and qualify him for the state competition. This was Aidan’s second time qualifying for regional and his first time punching his ticket to the state meet.

Chris Angeles’ season came to a close in the 3200m. Chris ran really well in his first regional action and posted an impressive 9:49.41 to finish 11th.

Congratulations to both Aidan and Chris on outstanding seasons, and best of luck to Aidan as he moves on to next week’s state championship meet at IU.

Other County Athletes competed in regional

(CC) Daiden Taulbee ran 22.87 in the 200m prelims, but did not qualify for the finals.
(CP) Hayden Kemple ran 9:39.81 in the 3200m and got 9th place
(F) Christopher Angeles ran 9:49.41 in the 3200m and got 10th place
(CP) Cayden Davis jumped 5’10” in high jump and got 10th place
(F) Aidan Hudspith cleared 14′ 4″ in Pole vault, good for 3rd place and a spot at the state finals.

Aidan Hudspith was the only Clinton county athlete to score points in the regional meet, and the only one to qualify for the state finals.

Frankfort finished 17th out of 23 scoring teams, with 6 points.
