ST. LOUIS – We’re eyeing a developing northwest to southeast axis of rain, beginning to fill across central Missouri.

All associated with a warm front nosing it’s way in our direction. High moisture content in central Missouri will lead to training thunderstorms.

Rain and storms migrate east through the early afternoon and will weaken by the time it hits the Mississippi River. We’ll get a lull in activity through the afternoon/evening before more storms develop overnight in northwest Missouri and move east.

The heat will increase Thursday, with highs rebounding back into the 90s. High humidity will urge heat indices to climb around 100 degrees.

The potential for severe weather remains likely Thursday evening after the initial wave of morning rain exits southeast.

A cold front moves in Thursday night into Friday, cutting off the gloomy/rainy weather for the weekend.
