6 Ohio Drive-Ins Where the Footlong Hot Dogs Still Come With Frosty Root Beer Floats
One Ohio drive-in will clip your root beer float tray right onto the side of your car door. No table, no booth, just your car window and a frosted glass. That detail stopped me cold. Then I found another stand that sells its root beer by the gallon, and another that pairs footlong coneys with fried mushrooms.

Bistro on Main owners seek buyer who will be true to restaurant roots
Bistro on Main has permanently closed, but the Kent building that has housed a restaurant for more than 70 years will continue that tradition if the owners are able to find the right buyer for the building at 1313 W. Main St. in Kent. The eatery, which closed Oct. 14, did so because of short staffing, said Dave and Cathy Tribuzzo, who owned the restaurant along with their late son, Aaron. "If I had a kitchen crew, I'd open back up tomorrow," Dave Tribuzzo said. "It's turnkey." Cathy Tribuzzo said she and her husband probably would have taken on more of the day-to-day kitchen work if they were 20 years younger. "My husband and I tried," she said. "We worked really hard. But in the end, we wanted his legacy to be positive." A family effort The Tribuzzos say the restaurant was always a family effort, but the initial reason for opening was to lure their son home. Cathy Tribuzzo said Aaron Ruggles, the chef who ran the kitchen at the Bistro throughout its 23 year history, had been cooking at home since he was 8 years old. He thought about going to culinary school, but instead joined the Navy.
