Dept. of Agriculture announces pesticide disposal events
HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Department of Agriculture will host spring pesticide disposal events Wednesday through Friday. The events are to ensure Montanans dispose of pesticide waste in a safe way that is also environmentally friendly. Since the program began in 1994, organizers collected 780,000 pounds of pesticide waste.

BILLINGS, Mont. - According to staff at ZooMontana, approximately 50 percent of all animals are rescues. Two rescue animals, grizzly bears Willy and George, were discovered in Eureka, Montana, after their mother had to be euthanized by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks after she was discovered breaking into peoples garbage, risking contact with humans.

The Libby Loggers softball team home opener was a success with the hosts beating Eureka, 12-2, in six innings Thursday evening at Remp Field.The Loggers collected 10 hits, including four for extra bases, and were never truly threatened. Winning pitcher Paislee MacDonald had an excellent game. She was 2-for-4 with two runs batted in.
