Four new businesses will be opening later this summer or in the fall at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

In Terminal A, The Bridge and Plum Market will open, while Gate C will see the addition of Nowitzki Restaurant and Ampersand Coffee, according to a news release from the airport.

Plum Market

Located at Gate 8, the location offers chef-crafted meals, coffee, pastries and grab-and-go snacks. There is also a Miles to Market program, which shows how far from the source the products come from with a goal of 350 miles or less, according to the news release. There is another Plum Market in Terminal B.

The Bridge Travel Essentials

At nearby Gate 9, The Bridge is a collaborative effort that brings together the Homeless Recovery Center in Dallas and the Fort Worth-based UpSpire, a program that looks to break the cycle of homelessness and unemployment. The location will offer grab-and-go snacks, memorabilia, personal care items or drinks from local markets and up-and-coming businesses to buy. According to a news release from the city of Dallas, the 5% revenue share between the two organizations should generate an estimated $200,000.

“We look forward to pursuing opportunities to grow this unique business, social entrepreneurship, and revenue building model, while continuing work with The Bridge Guests, and facilitating their recovery from homelessness,” Dr. David Woody, III, President and CEO of The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center, said in a news release.

Nowitzki Restaurant

A new entertainment restaurant and bar is named after Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki and will be located at Gate 37. The business will offer a number of televisions to view sporting events, see memorbilia from his playing days and merchandise will be sold. There is also an augmented reality meet-and-greet with Nowitzki through Aireal, which will allow guest to take a photo with the 14-time NBA All-Star and share it on social media, according to a news release.

Ampersand

A Fort Worth-based coffee company—with locations downtown and at Texas Christian University—is expanding to the airport at Gate 36. The company offers three of its own blends of coffee. Coffee grinds are then donated to be used at the Tarrant County Food Bank’s on-site garden.
