It's such a cliche, and yet firefighters really do rescue cats from trees when needed.
The Fort Worth Fire Department is sharing a video of a cat rescue outside a home on Monterey Drive near I-30 and Cooks Lane.
The rather vocal feline was stuck on a branch at least 20 feet up. But firefighters put up a ladder and one of them climbed and brought the kitty down safely.
As the fire department writes on its Facebook page, they arrived at the scene and realized it was "meow or never."
