For those looking for an alternative, nine parks in Fort Wayne offer splash pads for the summer season.

The splash pads are free and offer fun and enjoyment for the community, according to Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation.

Here is a full list of the splash pads that are open in Fort Wayne along with their hours of operation:

  • Buckner Park: 6114 Bass Road 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Franklin Park: 1903 Saint Marys Ave. 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Taylor’s Dream Boundless Playground (Kreager Park): 7225 North River Road 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • McCormick Park: 3530 Harvester Ave. 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Memorial Park: 2301 Glasgow Ave. 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Promenade Park: 202 W. Superior St. 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Robert E. Meyers Park: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday, on days with no scheduled events)
  • Shoaff Park: 6401 St. Joe Road 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
