Memorial Day events happening on Monday in Central Oregon. The Memorial Day Parade of Flags in Bend will be held at the Bend Heroes Memorial in Brooks Park. The ceremony will start at 7:00 a.m. and will include the readings of President Joe Biden's Memorial Day proclamation and Senator Ron Wyden's Memorial Day letter honoring veterans. Followed by a ceremony honoring Seth Garrett Jones, LCPL USMC.

Bend Parade of Flags installation, Memorial Day ceremony planned
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Monday, May 27 is Memorial Day, when we mourn our nation's over 1.3 million veterans and Bend's 112 veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice during war. On that solemn day, the Bend Heroes Foundation and volunteers will honor Bend's veterans with the display of 250 flags at Bend Heroes Memorial in Brooks Park, along Veterans Memorial Bridge (Newport Avenue) and downtown Bend.
