CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - The new details surrounding the allegations against Charlotte County priest Leo Riley have left some legal experts stunned. “This is a really shocking case to see in the Catholic Church in 2024,” says Dan Ellis, an attorney who represents sexual abuse victims. He says the fact that Riley was assigned to approximately 17 different parishes in Iowa over a 20-year span should have been a big warning sign.
