Maryland high school listed on Zillow for $42K in ‘creative’ senior prank

They put their “jail” up for sale.

A Maryland high school was listed on Zillow in what officials suspect was an “incredibly creative” senior prank.

Meade Senior High School was listed on the online real estate marketplace this week for $42,069, according to Business Insider.

In the ad, which has since been removed, the Fort Meade school was described as being 12,458 square feet with 20 bedrooms, 15 baths, a spacious kitchen, and a private basketball court.

“This nice half-working jail is on sale for a steal!!! All 15 bathrooms come with sewage issues!! The school also comes with dangerous unfinished sections that could cost you your life!!!”, the listing added.

School officials took the suspected prank in stride — but did take issue with its asking price.

“This is incredibly creative advertising, but we are stunned that the listers so vastly underestimated the value of this prime real estate with such amazing amenities,” Bob Mosier, chief communications officer at Anne Arundel County Public Schools, said in a statement.

“Potential buyers surely will be flocking to snap this deal up, right? This won’t be on the market for long.”

This isn’t the only group of high schoolers who found a creative way to wreak havoc this graduation season.

On Thursday night, North Carolina students poured cement into toilets at their high school as part of their senior prank at Williams High School in Burlington, causing more than $4,000 in damages.

The school district said it is also investigating pranks at its five other area high schools after students ransacked classrooms, sprayed graffiti, and threw eggs, among other acts of vandalism.
