An ongoing dispute between two women culminated with one intentionally running over the other with her car near Fort Lauderdale Friday morning, then fleeing, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The accused driver, Linouria Wilson, 22, of Fort Lauderdale, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with attempted murder in the first degree.

A little before 9 a.m., deputies and Fire Rescue responded to a hit-and-run call near the 2600 block of Northwest 13th Court in unincorporated central Broward County, according to a Sheriff’s Office media release. There, they found a woman with serious injuries “consistent with being hit by a vehicle.”

As of Friday afternoon, she was in the Trauma ICU of Broward Health Medical Center in critical condition, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The victim had been involved in an “ongoing disturbance” with Wilson since at least the night before, the Sheriff’s Office said. The news release did not specify the nature of the disturbance.

A witness showed deputies a screen recording of an Instagram story that depicted the victim holding onto the hood of a green Honda as a driver traveled down Northwest 13th Court, according to the probable cause affidavit. When she fell off the hood, the Honda reversed and drove over her a second time.

A neighbor told deputies that he heard a thud, then a woman scream “Someone come get this girl before I kill her!” When he looked outside, he saw a green Honda drive off, leaving a woman lying in the middle of the street.

Wilson was arrested in June 2021 on charges of aggravated domestic battery with a deadly weapon.

Her ex-boyfriend told police officers that she had become “upset about females he had relationships with,” according to the probable cause affidavit. He told officers that she kicked him in the head and chased him with a knife before stabbing him in the hand, the affidavit states.

One week ago, the State Attorney’s Office dropped the charges because Wilson’s ex-boyfriend did not appear in court, according to Paula McMahon, a spokesperson for the office.
