Bogert to host SLAM summer cultural fest
Soon taking up residency in Bogert Park for its annual event showcase, the Summer SLAM Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 3rd and 4th. As it has in years past, the 2024 festival will feature artists and performers, culinary artisans and family activities, as well as breweries and distilleries from around the state. One of the unique aspects of the SLAM festival is its spirit of inclusion and community. Downtown group OK’s funding for Mansfield Theater improvements
The Downtown Development Partnership voted July 24 to recommend approval of $400,000 of tax increment financing funds toward projects in the Civic Center. Two of the projects are to update the Mansfield Theater and the other is to update the building’s elevator to continue to allow access to those with mobility limitations.
Power in Missoula back for some, others may have to wait until early next week
Thousands of people in Missoula were still without power Friday afternoon after a powerful storm blasted through the area Wednesday night. NorthWestern Energy at noon Friday said they had more than 160 personnel and 34 line crews working to restore electricity as quickly as possible. The utility warned some outages might not be repaired until early next week.
