LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Thursday is going to be one of our warmest days of the week in the upper 80s, with showers and storms firing up one more time. We're expecting some stronger storms as well, with high winds likely as they come through. The cold front will be crossing around midday, and we should start to feel the drier air moving in by the evening. Man charged after he was caught stabbing woman during Lynchburg burglary, police say
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A 30-year-old has been charged after an incident that happened on Monday, the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) said. On Monday, at 2:08 a.m., Lynchburg Police said officers responded to a reported burglary in the 1300 block of Fort Manor Drive. When officers arrived on the scene, a man was actively attacking a woman with a knife. Despite the ongoing assault upon their arrival, the man surrendered the weapon and was taken into custody without further incident.
