Murder charge against Charlottesville man certified to Lynchburg grand jury
LYNCHBURG, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A grand jury in Lynchburg will be taking up a case against a Charlottesville man accused of murder. According to the Lynchburg Police Department, 22-year-old Keon Jamir Palmer of Charlottesville faces charges of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Town Council accepts Otter Bus grant
The Bedford Town Council met on Tuesday, May 14. The meeting began with a citizen comment period where Nancy Layton expressed her concerns with unleashed dogs roaming the Oakwood Street/loop area that were aggressive towards her dog. She encouraged the Town and the Police Department to be vigilant for dogs roaming free in the area to help avoid incidents in the future. Jim Cutler, long time Bedford resident, offered a prayer for Council and all government bodies.
