Crocs clogs made an appearance at London Fashion Week during Ancuța Sarca’s spring/summer 2025 collection presentation on Saturday.
For this new partnership, the Romanian-born and London-based designer updated two of the footwear brand’s key styles – the Siren Clog and the Classic Clog. According to Sarca – who nabbed the 2023 FNAA for Emerging Talent – she hand-deconstructing each shoe into a hybrid creation between classic styles and her signature sustainable design practices.
For the Siren clog, Sarca used electrostatic flocking technique to add an interesting texture to the heeled design. As for the Classic clog, the designer added metallic accents and a gradient sole to the platform style.
“I’m thrilled to partner with Crocs for my spring/summer 2025 collection,” Sarca said in a statement. “Their bold approach to design and comfort perfectly aligns with my vision of merging practicality with unconventional style. By combining Crocs iconic styles with elements from trainers and loafers, I’m reimagining the Crocs into an Ancuța Sarca hybrid world but keeping the original signature silhouettes. We’re also exploring electrostatic flocking techniques to add unique textures and a striking, bold touch to the designs.”
Yann Le Bozec, vice president of marketing for Crocs ROW and Hey Dude International, added: “We’re incredibly excited about this creative partnership with Ancuta Sarca,” Le Bozec said. “She has reinterpreted our iconic Classic Clog and our edgy Siren Clog with a visionary approach, exploring the boundaries of design and showcasing our shared commitment to innovation and creativity”
In addition to her Crocs collaboration, Sarca also introduced new shoe styles with Clarks. For this tie-up, the designer brings an unexpected twist to the iconic Clarks Originals Wallabees by using deadstock shoes in the creations. The show, held at 180 Strand, featured three pairs of deadstock Wallabees, in three different colors.
These collaborations were shown alongside the Sarca’s mainline for spring/summer 2025. For this season, sportswear styles are injected with animal prints across their core – a signature upcycled snakeskin high heel pump meets a masculine shirt collar, or oversized leopard print boots brought forward by sportswear stripes, all signatures of Ancuța Sarca’s work contrasting dualities that unveil the different roles we carry across modern-day life.
Plus, new menswear styles bring forward sportswear and cycling inspirations by repurposing masculine loafer silhouettes into signature Sarca creations by combining Velcro fastenings, all created in this season’s four signature spring/summer 2025 offerings – faux snakeskin, chrome, black and white.
