    National Weather Service: Tornado touched down in Morgan County during Saturday storms

    FLORENCE, Mo. (KMIZ)

    A tornado was confirmed to have touched down Saturday in Morgan County, according to the National Weather Service in Springfield.

    A tweet from the National Weather Service Springfield office stats that an EF-0 tornado touchdown down in southwest Florence, Missouri, between 10:29-10:36 p.m. The length of the path was 1.99 miles, and was about 75 yards wide, the post says.

    The post says tree were uprooted along Ehlers Road and the Butterfield Trail.

    Heavy storms came through the area on Saturday and tornado warnings were issued to some Mid-Missouri counties. Some Mid-Missouri roads were closed around Mid-Missouri on Monday due to flooding from the storms .
