Casey White’s shock jailhouse ‘murder confession’ as he’s branded ‘master manipulator’ after death of guard lover Vicky
A CONVICT who broke out of prison with his jail guard lover has made shocking new claims as he awaits sentencing for his crimes.
Casey White escaped the Lauderdale County Detention Center in Florence, Alabama, with the help of Vicky White, 56, in April 2022.
Casey has pleaded guilty to an escape charge and is being held in prison as he awaits sentencing.
The inmate made shocking claims about his time on the run with Vicky, who died when the duo was caught by police after a two-week manhunt, in a new interview with NewsNation's Brian Entin.
Casey was brought back to jail after watching his lover turn the gun on herself inside their truck as a police chase came to an end.
He called Entin for the first time on December 3, 2022, after the reporter wrote letters to the runaway convict.

"I have a little confession to make," Casey said.
He claimed that he killed a woman at an Indiana motel while on the run with Vicky, and that the body hasn't been buried or found yet.
“I got a woman and a baby girl buried up in Evansville, Indiana,” Casey told Entin.
"I had to get it off my chest. I had to do the right thing."
The inmate refused to talk to anyone about the alleged killing aside from the FBI who “handled (his) case,” he said.
Law enforcement casted doubt on Casey's claims, calling them lies, and said that he's made false confessions before.
A detective with the Evansville Police Department said that there are no missing women reports in the area.
A search by NewsNation didn't produce any results matching Casey's claims or timeline.
Casey's lawyers also doubted his claims, saying that he might be trying to switch prisons.
“I think that is highly unlikely,” Robert Tuten, one of the attorneys representing White, said.
"We know of at least one other instance and maybe more where he's confessed to things like that, we believe, in hopes of being transferred out of prison," his attorneys said.
Detectives told Entin that Casey might be trying to "muddy the waters" ahead of his trial.
Rick Singleton, Former Lauderdale County Sheriff, branded Casey a "master manipulator" - the same phrase used to describe the convict by the brother of one of Casey's ex-girlfriends, who died in his trailer in 2008.
ESCAPED CONVICT
Casey was serving 75 years behind bars on a slew of charges before Vicky helped sneak him out.
Vicky had been in the corrections field for nearly two decades and was a top-ranking official at the prison where she oversaw Casey and other inmates.
She was set to retire just days after she ended up going on the run with Casey.
On the morning of April 29, 2022, Casey was seen on surveillance footage being led into a patrol car by Vicky.
Vicky told her colleagues that she was taking Casey to court for a mental health evaluation.
What authorities didn't know was that there was no evaluation or hearing scheduled for that day and that it was just the first step in a hatched escape plan to free Casey.
After ditching the patrol car, Casey and Vicky fled the state in another vehicle, only to be found a week and a half later in Evansville, Indiana.
On May 9, 2022, the car Casey and Vicky were driving was rammed into a ditch during the police chase, ending the 11-day prison break.
After the car crash, Vicky died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Although Casey wasn't the one to pull the trigger, he was charged with felony murder for allegedly causing her death during his escape.
He pleaded guilty last month to an escape charge which saw the murder accusation dropped.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Thursday, June 8.
Casey had been serving a 75-year sentence for a spree of violent crimes that included attempting to kill his ex-girlfriend, stealing a car, and shooting dead a dog.
He was also scheduled to face trial after confessing to the murder of Connie Ridgeway, a 58-year-old mother-of-two who was brutally stabbed to death during a home invasion robbery in 2015.

"It wasn’t supposed to go that way," Casey said in a courtroom apology to Vicky's mother, as reported by AL.com.
"Things happened... and we was in love."
