    Good morning, it is Sunday!

We can expect a high of 75 degrees. It'll be mostly cloudy, warm, and humid with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm, mainly early in the day.

Flint marks 10 years since water crisis began

The Flint water crisis began ten years ago this month. It began when an unelected emergency manager made the catastrophic decision to change the source of the city's drinking water from Lake Huron to the Flint River as a cost-saving measure.

This decision triggered a cascade of problems with the water quality in Flint. For example, lead, a neurotoxin, leached from the city's aging pipes and into the water that flowed from the faucets, causing irreparable damage, especially in children, whose brains and bones were still developing.

Additionally, bacterial levels spiked, sparking boil-water advisories, writes Kristen Jordan Shamus. A Legionnaires' disease outbreak killed at least 12 people and sickened many more, and cancer-causing chemicals called trihalomethanes, a byproduct of the chlorine used to kill bacteria, were identified in the tap water.

Here's more in this story, including comments from residents who say "it's not over."

    What a draft!

The 2024 NFL draft in Detroit is in the books. And what a week it was.

Detroit officially set an attendance record for an NFL draft with more than 775,000 attendees over the three days. The Lions traded up two more times and rounded out their draft class by addressing their front lines. More than 100 dancers gathered Saturday in front of the draft theater to do the hustle. It was just a true Detroit party and the weekend couldn't have gone better. Even Michigan football had quite the week; it set a program record with 13 draftees, just months after winning a national championship.

Here's a recap of Rounds 4-7 on Saturday, and what happened downtown on Day 3.
