FLINT, MI — Beecher students rolled up in style to prom on Friday night.
About 80 students rolled up in expensive rides, and as each stepped out, glitz and glamour was centerstage in front of an adoring crowd on Friday, May 26 at the Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint.
Dapper suits on the gentlemen with personalized bling, including many chains featuring loved ones.
The ladies showed out in colorful dresses, each with their own unique features.
Some were covered in jewels, others with feathers at the base. And the accessories to the outfits were just as creative, featuring umbrellas, bedazzled purses and bags and heels that slayed.
“It’s one of the last celebrations with my senior class, and we get to dress up and have one last amazing night together,” said Amariya Brown, an 18-year-old senior.
Parents, friends and family shouted out, hyping the students up while taking video and pictures to celebrate their achievement.
Once inside, the students enjoyed the “Masquerade” themed prom, where students enjoyed a buffet-style dinner. Professional portraits by Jewell Love Photography. DJ Jay Big brought life to the dance floor, keeping the flow of music at a high vibe throughout the night.
Senior Robert Lee was named prom king and senior Amiyah Brown was crowned as the queen.
“Prom is a good feeling. This is our last moment of high school,” said Lee, who will attend and play basketball at Wayne State University in the fall. “Everybody is dressed up, and we all look so good. We’re just starting to feel it now, that’s it’s really over and our next chapter in life is starting up.”
