Riverhead PAL hosts bicycle skills competition
Fifty-eight children competed in the Riverhead Police Athletic League’s annual Bike Rodeo Saturday morning at Stotzky Park. Kids in kindergarten through 6th grade demonstrated their skills on a course designed to test their abilities to control their bicycles and promote rider safety. Riverhead Police officers graded their performance on the course and chatted with the children about the importance of the skills being tested.

On May 4, Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Jane Bonner was at the Rose Caracappa Senior Center in Mt. Sinai for her first Paper Shredding, Electronic and Prescription Drug Take Back recycling event of the year.
