Basketball court at Fitchburg Park vandalized

FITCHBURG, Wis. -- Recently, a basketball court at Western Hills Court in Fitchburg was vandalized.

Fitchburg Deputy City Administrator Adam Sayre said there are no details of when the incident occurred or why it occurred.

The park is located off Whitney Way and features a basketball court, picnic tables and a playground.

Sayre said there is no timeline for re-opening, but said crews would be surveying the area and would have a time frame for potential re-opening next week.

Park staff said this is the second time the court was vandalized in a couple of weeks.
