Rainbow Bridge set to reopen in early April, Texas officials say
PORT ARTHUR, Texas (KPLC) - Extensive maintenance on the Rainbow Bridge in Southeast Texas is now finished, and the bridge is expected to open soon, authorities said. The maintenance began in March 2025, with work contracted to Southern Road and Bridge, LLC, Texas Department of Transportation spokesperson Tanya Avila said. Work included a full-depth concrete deck restoration, railing repairs, and the replacement of 1,200 rivets and four steel member pins.
