Obviously, Now Hogs' Baseball Has Lunatic Fringe Fans

Probably due to success, Razorbacks' coach Dave Van Horn has idiot fans, too

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — It was downright hilarious at times seeing the various fan reactions people texted me after Arkansas was eliminated from the Fayetteville Regional after a second loss to TCU on Monday.

Now Razorback baseball has a growing Lunatic Fringe group that may even be more unhinged than the ones around football and basketball. If Dave Van Horn or Hunter Yurachek (or even Sam Pittman and Eric Musselman) are even aware of it, at the most it produces a good chuckle.

One of the social media posts told Yurachek what he had to do was sit Van Horn down and tell him what he needed to change. Don't expect an embed of it here because anybody that dumb shouldn't get the publicity they so desperately crave. These lunatics are downright idiots.

Van Horn probably did one of the best coaching jobs seen in awhile just getting this team to the postseason. They were picked third by the coaches in the preseason ... in the SEC West. Forget about hosting a regional before things started.

All-SEC picks Peyton Stovall and Brady Tygart missed a big amount of playing time with injuries that also claimed at various times along with two more position players and three pitchers. Just making the NCAA tournament was a surprise to some while qualifying for a hosting position throughout a Super Regional wasn't expected by anybody.

Yet there seems to be a group of idiots that suddenly think they know more? Like I said earlier, idiots come out in droves. They all knew how to avoid whatever the latest loss was. It happens in football and basketball, too, but now the number that think they know more about how to coach than Van Horn is growing.

A big part of it is growing in popularity. Before Van Horn's success, the number was so small you just figured they had escaped a nervous hospital or something. If you don't know that reference you are more out of the loop than me. Norm DeBriyn had some critics, but social makes it more visible.

Van Horn won't even acknowledge it. Neither will Yurachek. They don't go to social media for advice on how to run their programs from the idiots that say things there they would never dream of saying to someone's face.

It's a crazy way to judge progress, but that's exactly what it is. Razorback baseball now has a Lunatic Fringe of it's own. Maybe Pittman and Musselman can welcome Van Horn to the club.
