Arkansas basketball: Top transfer prospect set to visit soon

Eric Musselman and Arkansas basketball have one roster spot for next season, and they’re in the mix to fill it with the best transfer prospect left in the portal.

North Dakota State forward Grant Nelson is set to make visits to Alabama and Baylor before eventually making his way to Fayetteville to see Musselman and the Razorbacks. On3.com’s Joe Tipton was the first to report the news on Saturday evening via Twitter.

Nelson averaged 17.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 blocks, 52.1 FG% and 26.9 3PT% in 30.6 minutes for the Bison last season. Arkansas got an up-close look at Nelson and North Dakota State last year when they visited Fayetteville on Nov. 7. Arkansas won comfortably, 76-58, while Nelson recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and one block in 21 minutes.

Currently, there is no set date for Nelson to take his visit to Arkansas.
