Watch: Arkansas infielder executes unbelievable fake-out

Arkansas Razorbacks second baseman Peyton Holt was his pitcher's best friend in the 2023 SEC baseball tournament. In fact, from now on, Holt will be a friend to anyone who still loves a slick play in the field.

Holt didn't necessarily flash the leather in this unbelievable game-changing play against LSU, but this highlight is certainly a gem — and he certainly flashed some ridiculous talent.

With no outs and Arkansas holding a 5-2 lead in the top of the sixth, a grounder to shortstop set the Razorbacks up with what could have been a tailor-made double play since there were runners on first and second. The only problem in that situation is that when the runner at second runs on contact, a defense usually has to concede the lead runner third base in hope of getting that third out before any damage is done.

Conceding to the lead runner wasn't an option for Holt, though. He took the relay at second base and performed a nifty fake out by pretending to throw to first before flipping around and executing a beautiful throw to snag the lead runner lazily turning the corner at third, not expecting the ball to be anywhere near him.

It looked like this:

Arkansas went on to win, 5-4, advancing to the semifinal round of the SEC Tournament.
