The advisory was for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Venango, Forest, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties. "Most temperatures have risen into the 40s," states the National Weather Service. What to do if there is a frost advisory.
Update: Freeze warning previously issued will expire at 9 a.m.
The warning was for Beaver, Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Westmoreland and Fayette counties. "Temperatures rose above freezing," according to the National Weather Service. Freeze warnings are issued from May to October (but can be extended if necessary), when low temperatures are expected to be 29-32 degrees. If there is a potential for temperatures to fall into these thresholds, a freeze watch may be issued a few days ahead of time.
