Football prospects from the immediate area and beyond converged on Farmville Central High School on Friday and Saturday for the ENC HBCU Combine & Showcase.

The two-day event is follows a similar format to other professional and college combines where athletes timed in an array of drills and also receive instruction and motivation from coaches and former star players. This year’s event featured a pair of Black College Hall of Fame members.

Prospects were evaluated in several areas, including the 40-yard dash, the 5-10-5 shuttle run, vertical jump, broad jump and bench press. Recruiters from the CIAA and MEAC conferences as well as Louisburg College were in attendance at the event.
