    A nine-goal game and more: Vote for the Cape Cod Boys Lacrosse Player of the Week

    Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands High School Player of the Week Poll .

    High school sports fans can vote for which boys lacrosse players they think were standouts during the previous week.

    The poll will be open from Tuesday through Monday. The winner will be announced on Tuesday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.

    Rules of the Road

    Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

    Last week's winner

    Drew Kelley, Bourne

    Kelley became the second Canalmen (Ryan Haden) to win a poll this season with 52% of the votes. He had three goals and dished out two assists in a win over Somerset Berkley.

    This week's candidates

    Max Beals, Bourne

    Beals played well between the pipes with 19 saves, which included 10 in the fourth quarter, in a 10-9 win over Seekonk.

    Tommy Bushy, Falmouth

    Bushy made 18 saves in goal for the Clippers 16-10 win over Nauset.

    Shane Corcoran, Sandwich

    Corcoran had 16 saves in goal for a 8-6 win over Hanover.

    Jackson Falcone, Falmouth

    Falcone scored four times and had three assists in a win over Nauset.

    Ryan Haden, Bourne

    Haden had six goals and two assists in a 18-5 win over GNBVT.

    Christian Hanoian, Falmouth Academy

    Hanoian led the way with five goals and four assists in a 9-6 win over Sturgis.

    Ty Hawkes, Bourne

    Hawkes had four goals and three assists in a win over Seekonk.

    Tamer Khalil, Monomoy

    Khalil led the Sharks with seven goals and two assists in a 11-9 win over Bourne.

    Dominic Matteodo, Mashpee

    Matteodo had three goals, two assists and 14 ground balls in a 14-7 win over St. John Paul II.

    Kurt Moniz, Sandwich

    Moniz finished with three goals and two assists in a 16-0 win over Hull.

    Taylor Richardson, St. John Paul II

    Richardson scored six goals and dished out three assists in a 16-4 win over Falmouth Academy.

    Jackson Rocco, Monomoy

    Rocco had one goal and four assists in a victory over Bourne.

    Cole Rodgers, Sandwich

    Rodgers scored five goals and gave out one assist in a win over Hull.

    Dylan Scott, Upper Cape

    Goalie Scott had a 90 save percentage in a 10-1 victory over Westport.

    Max Smith, Mashpee

    Smith scored nine goals in a win over St. John Paul II.

    Jacoby Staruski, Upper Cape

    Staruski finished with five goals for the Rams 10-9 win over Tri-County Reg.

    Travis Smith, Falmouth

    Smith won 17 faceoffs for the Clippers 9-7 win over Westwood in the final round of the Chowder Cup.

    Tomas Tortora, Falmouth Academy

    Tortora had 15 saves in goal in a win over Sturgis.
