NCIS:LA star Daniela Ruah spotted in Fall River
Daniela Ruah, best known for her role as special agent Kensi Blye on NCIS:Los Angeles, was recently spotted at a Portuguese restaurant in Fall River.
The actress, who is Portuguese-American, stopped in the city on her way to host the International Portuguese Music Awards in Providence.
She said she had to satisfy her cravings for some Portuguese delicacies.

Taste of Portugal Food Tour takes you on a culinary and cultural quest
Viva Fall River's latest tourism effort, the Taste of Portugal Food Tour, sends participants on a culinary quest in the city.
The city nonprofit and its partners, New Bedford Food Tours, launched the tour May 26.
According to Patti Rego, executive director of Viva Fall River, Taste of Portugal offers an entree to the city in more ways than one because its focus goes beyond just food.
"It's about the culture, community, the role the Portuguese culture plays in Fall River and where we are now," she said.

Questions arose during a recent City Council meeting over the costs spent for city financial services, and some councilors are scrutinizing expenses that have doubled since city chief financial officer Bridget Almon took the helm over a year ago.
City Councilor Michelle Dionne mentioned the city’s continuing reliance on contract work from Edward Iacoponi, who was enlisted by Mayor Paul Coogan last year to help build the fiscal 2023 budget.
“The taxpayers are paying this bill and, in plain English, this is bull—,” said Dionne.

Having frequented Simmons for years, Pamela Huizenga Alexander now has the keys.
Former owner Jennifer Marshall Grantham, who ran Simmons with her husband Rupert for nearly a decade, put the site on the market two months ago.

With its eyes on the future, RST Thermal also has connections to beloved PBS series "This Old House."
Richard Trethewey, part of "This Old House" since 1979, is the company's vice president.
His son Evan is president, and he says that RST is in Fall River to stay.
