Fall River Police arrest two after stolen moped leads to foot pursuit

Fall River Police arrested two people after a pursuit on Sunday afternoon involving a stolen vehicle.

According to Detective Sergeant Moses Pereira, a victim contacted the police after they observed two juveniles operating their moped at approximately 4:45 p.m. in the area of Amity Street.

Pereira stated that the two juveniles were arrested after they were found to allegedly be in possession of a stolen moped.

Both parties were taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit.

The juveniles are charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.

    Saturday 3PM – Multiple dirt bikes and four-wheelers doing wheelies from the corner of Eastern Ave and Pleasant St on the wrong side of the road. They cut through Lafayette Park, continue down Pleasant, and back up Eastern Ave.

    Two FRPD SUVs sitting in front of Pizza Time do nothing.
