Car catches fire on I-10 in Mobile
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A car caught fire on Interstate 10 in Mobile early Friday evening. It happened in the eastbound lanes near Broad Street. Traffic in the area had been heavy earlier in the day due to Memorial Day weekend travel. But traffic was much lighter when the fire happened.

Bail denied for man accused in Prairie Avenue murder, assault case
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A judge ordered that a Mobile man charged with felony murder in the death of a 26-year-old man is to be held without bail for now. Twenty-year-old Kalvin Matthews Jr. is one of two people charged in the shooting on Prairie Avenue in April that left Jaylin Craig dead and a 15-year-old injured.
