Elkhart County reports first measles case of the year

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - The Elkhart County Health Department is reporting its first measles case of the year. The Indiana Department of Health has reported 73 cases statewide as of Oct. 27. In Michiana, 11 cases have been reported in LaGrange County and one case has been reported in Kosciusko County.

ELKHART — Libertarian candidate for Indiana's 2nd Congressional District, William Henry, will host a public meet-and-greet Thursday, Oct. 29, for community members to ask questions and meet the candidate. From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Henry will be at Elkhart Public Library, 300 S. 2nd St., Elkhart, in the Orange/Gray Conference Rooms. According to a press release, the event is intended to allow community members to speak directly with the candidate, discuss potential solutions and share what they hope their representation in Washington will look like. The release said, after brief opening remarks, there will be an open question-and-answer session. “Unlike our current representative, I will continue to engage with the people I’m asking to represent," Henry said in a press release. "Our communities deserve a representative who listens, answers questions, and takes their concerns seriously, and doesn’t use citizens as props in his photo ops.
