Man in wheelchair stabbed during Bangor altercation; suspect sought
BANGOR (WGME) -- Police say they are searching for a suspect who stabbed a man in a wheelchair in Bangor and fled the scene in a red car. Police say they responded to Union Street around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday and found a 43-year-old man bleeding profusely from a stab wound on his arm. Officers applied a tourniquet and EMS took him to a local hospital.
New flagpole dedicated at Sangerville Veterans Memorial Park
SANGERVILLE — On May 18, during the park’s clean-up day, a new flagpole was dedicated once again to local veterans at Sangerville Veterans Memorial Park. Donated by Macy Gardner, a 20-year Army veteran, the pole came with a new flag and a solar light installed at the top for night time illumination. Many local volunteers were on hand to celebrate the new pole as well as pitching in with the Sangerville Rec Committee for spring cleanup.
