A 56-year-old man suffered serious injuries early Tuesday morning after his vehicle struck a horse that was in a roadway on northbound US 69 Highway. The crash happened at 4:25 a.m. on June 6 on the highway just south of Robyne Lane outside Excelsior Springs, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report. After hitting the horse, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The driver was the only one in the vehicle. He was hospitalized with injuries.
