Port of Anacortes Board of Commissioners approves 2027 budget
ANACORTES, WA – The Port of Anacortes Board of Commissioners approved the Port’s 2027 budget following a public hearing on Nov. 5. “Despite challenging local, regional, and national conditions, the Port’s steady cash flow, prudent use of our borrowing capacity, and strategic federal and state grant support allow us to move forward with a financially sound budget for 2027,” said Port Chief Financial Officer Jill Brownfield. “Staff and the Commission will continue to monitor rising oil prices, tariffs, and broad economic uncertainty, and we have budgeted carefully with that in mind. At the same time, we are excited to begin the Port’s second century by advancing major capital projects to serve the Anacortes community for generations.”
