ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — An Evergreen man is accused of beating a woman over a four-day period, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

25-year-old Kevon Markel Lee was arrested on June 10 and charged with one count of kidnapping, two counts of battery, and one count of sexual battery.

Santa Rosa deputies were called to home twice before murder-suicide, sheriff says

According to Lee’s arrest report, between June 6 and June 10, he allegedly beat, strangled, and held a woman against her will.

The report said Lee is accused of “unlawfully forcing [redacted] to stay with him, through the use of force, by grabbing her hair, pulling her back inside her vehicle when she tried to leave, and grabbing her by the neck, causing her to be unable to breathe, putting her in fear that he would cause even greater harm to her if she tried to leave again or if she refused to go somewhere with him over the next 4 days.”

Lee also terrorized the woman “through the infliction of bodily harm, which resulted in significant bruising, diminished hearing, and loss of sensation in her hands, along with significant pain, and possible head trauma,” according to allegations in the report. He also allegedly sexually assaulted the woman.

The report said the woman was able to get to work on June 10 and call the sheriff’s office.

It was not immediately clear what Lee told deputies when he was interviewed due to his statement being redacted; however, the report does say that Lee said a fight broke out at a party over the weekend, and that is what caused the victim’s injuries.
