Hit utility pole causes blockage at Burkhardt in Evansville

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A utility pole has caused a blockage near the intersection of East Waterford Boulevard and Burkhardt Road.

We’re told the lights are down at the intersection, and the area is blocked while crews clean up.

We’re also told CenterPoint was called out.

Dispatch said it was classified as a hit and run. There was no timeline given for how long cleanup will be.

Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry’s office states the intersection is expected to be closed all day.

The intersection should be treated as a four-way stop until repairs are made.
