Man rescued from rice bin by Eunice first responders

EUNICE, La. ( KLFY ) — First responders in Eunice were on the scene of an industrial accident.

Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBeuf said fire fighters were on the scene at North CC Duson Street in Eunice, and a rescue operation was underway for an individual who fell thirty feet into a rice bin.

News 10 was on the scene of the industrial accident after the man was successfully rescued. The Eunice fire chief says the individual fell thirty feet into loose rice, but has been successfully recovered by local fire fighters.

The individual was taken to a hospital and there are no reported injuries at this time.
