Three arrested in connection to the fatal Eunice shooting

EUNICE, La. (KLFY) – On March 20, Eunice Police responded to a shooting near South Bulah Street and East Maple Avenue.

Carl Vigers, 40, was killed in the shooting when he was standing outside of an apartment complex near the intersection.

When police arrived, they found Vigers in critical condition.

EMS gave medical treatment to Vigers, and he was transported to the hospital where he died from his wounds.

On March 23, Eunice Police said that a 17-year-old juvenile has been arrested and charged with 1st-degree murder.

Leroy Freeman III, 21 of Eunice and a 15-year-old juvenile male have also been arrested and charged with Principal to 1st-degree murder in the death of Carl Vigers.
