Every Friday this summer, a free chainsaw carving display will be held outside of Tannerite Outlet Outdoor Store in Eugene.
The display is a part of the store's continued effort to put Oregon made products and performances on display.
The artist, Tyler Strauslin, is from Salem and has been carving his art pieces with a chainsaw since 2009.
He says the saws give a unique amount of precision.
"These tools are quite versatile, you can do quite a lot with them that you wouldn't expect," says Strauslin. "It's actually a perfect tool for doing something like this because it's quick, it's efficient and it's accurate, more accurate than you would think. People are just generally very impressed."
The displays will be at 1 p.m. in the Tannerite parking lot every Friday through the summer.
