Back on January 3, 2023, a woman was struck W. 6th on Lincoln, by a vehicle that fled the scene.

The woman sustained a broken arm due to the vehicle-pedestrian crash.

Several months later, the Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team made an arrest in the case.

Officials arrested 46-year-old Jennifer Neely Higgins, of Salem.

On June 7, 2023, EPD says Higgins pleaded guilty to the hit-and-run.

Officials say Higgins will serve 30-days in Lane County Jail, and three years of supervised probation.
