Kelly Graves and the Oregon women's basketball staff have been busy on the recruiting trails rebuilding their team after the departure of 5 players this offseason.
Thursday, the Ducks officially announced the addition of North Alabama transfer Skyler Gill. The 5'9 guard/forward combo is a two-time ASUN Defensive Player of the Year. In two seasons with the Lions, Gill became the program's all-time record holder in blocks with 161. The former ASUN Freshman of the Year played in 53 games while making 52 starts during those two seasons. She averaged about 10.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2.6 assists per game at North Alabama. Gill will have two years of eligibility in Eugene. She's the fourth transfer Oregon has landed in a span of about 2 weeks.
Gill joins USF transfer Priscilla Williams. The 6'2 guard began her career at Syracuse before transferring to play with the Bulls. Coming out of college, Williams was listed as the nation's ninth-top recruit in the class of 2020. Before missing a full year with the Orange, she appeared in 21 games as a freshman while making 20 starts, averaging about 8.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. At USF last season, she returned to the court and played in 17 games averaging about 2.2 points, 1.1 rebound, and 0.5 assist per game. Williams will have three years of eligibility with the Ducks.
Oregon will only have Miami, Ohio transfer Peyton Scott for one year. The 5'8 guard is one of the more experienced players of the group of transfers, serving as a four-year starter for the Redhawks. She was a four-time All-MAC selection in Oxford, Ohio, appearing in 111 games while making 108 starts and etching her name in the Miami, Ohio history books. Scott ranks fourth in the school's history with 36 career 20-point games, eighth in assists with 368 and steals with 217. Last year with the Redhawks she averaged about 15.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
The final addition this offseason is Liberty transfer Kennedi Williams. The 5'7 guard appeared in 124 games during her four-year stint with the Flames. She's made 66 starts while in Lynchburg, Virginia, including 33 in this previous season averaging about 7.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Williams was also a quality shot taker, shooting over 50% on the year. She'll also have one year of eligibility with the Ducks.
The latest additions bring the current roster to 12 players including two incoming freshmen and Sammie Wagner, who redshirted last year.
