The Oregon Athletics Hall of Fame consists of 227 athletes and 30 teams that have been inducted on an annual basis since 1992.
This year, the class of 2023 includes six iconic Duck athletes that were game changers in their respective sport.
There's always a name that headlines the class, and this year it belongs to LaMichael James.
The running back was the first-ever Duck to be a unanimous First Team All-American and will also be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December.
Also being inducted is Jessica Moore, who helped build Oregon softball into the program it is today. A two-time All-American pitcher for the Ducks, Moore still holds the school records for appearances and innings pitched and helped her team reach the Women's College World Series in 2012.
Two track stars have been inducted. Before winning Olympic medals, English Gardner won five NCAA titles for Oregon and was a nine-time All-American.
She's inducted alongside one of her teammates - Jordan Hasay, who dominated in track and cross country with the Ducks and still holds the school record in the 10k set in 2013.
There is one volleyball inductee as well. Alaina Bergsma played a huge role in Oregon's trip to the national championship game in 2012 - the same season she was named the National Player of the Year.
The final athlete to be inducted, Bruce Mortenson, was part of two track national championship squads in the mid-1960s.
The athletes will be formally inducted on the weekend of the October 21 home football game against Washington State.
